I can't connect to my ssh server

0

So, I have set up an ssh server, forwarded a port to it through my router, so i can connect to it from an external network. Yes, I have set it to listen on that same port i forwarded, and yet it doesn't want to connect, as I get this when trying to connect through my client:

ssh: connect to host ********** port 2548: Connection refused

I don't have a firewall, as im using deepin linux, so it won't be blocking the connection. What's the issue?

  • Simple test: Try to ssh while connected to the same LAN. If connection succeeds, then the problem is at your router or ISP. If the connection fails, then the problem is on your server or client.

  • Ubuntu-based are still off-topic, only Ubuntu and official flavors (Lubuntu, Xubuntu, Kubuntu, Ubuntu-MATE, Ubuntu-Budgie, etc.) You can download official Ubuntu flavors from ubuntu.com/download/flavours
